Six Celebrities Who Chose Adoption

Home / Stories / Six Celebrities Who Chose Adoption

In the past we have looked at famous adopted children including singer/songwriter Faith Hill, entrepreneur/businessman Steve Jobs, and human rights activist Nelson Mandela. Today we will explore 7 celebrities who chose adoption. We celebrate their willingness to step outside the box of societal norms, take on big challenges, and declare a victory in the life of a child. According to the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI), in the U.S. alone 397,122 children are living without permanent families. Around the world there are an estimated 153 million orphans looking for a home. November is adoption month, and to celebrate we here at Save the Storks want to reignite awareness to a less trendy, less recognized but very effective life-sustaining alternative to abortion.

Save the Storks
Save the Storks
Save the Storks exists to partner with pregnancy resource centers and give abortion-vulnerable women a choice that will change their lives forever. We partner with pregnancy resource centers all over the nation, providing them with powerful tools and training to more effectively connect with those women in their communities. With the support of people like you, we have built over 50 Stork Buses that reach women near abortion clinics, on college campuses, in rural areas and inner cities. And here’s a statistic you’ll want to share with friends and family: four out of five women who board a Stork Bus, see their baby on the ultrasound and hear the heartbeat, choose life.
