Last week, the Kardashian sisters, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney, visited a Planned Parenthood clinic in Los Angeles. The sisters hoped their visit would show support and raise awareness for what Planned Parenthood claims to do — provide vital health care to women who need it most.
They all posted on social media about their visit and all of the “good things” that Planned Parenthood does for men and women.
The Kardashians are just a few of many notable names who have shown support to Planned Parenthood in the last several months. Left and right, celebrities are using their fame to back Planned Parenthood, an organization whose government funding is currently being threatened.
Earlier this month, the House of Representatives passed the American Health Care Act and voted to repeal Obamacare. If this bill passes through the Senate, Planned Parenthood would no longer receive half a billion dollars in federal funding.
It really is too bad that Planned Parenthood doesn’t just provide cancer screenings and vital health care to women and men. And it’s sad that so many people, especially people of influence, believe the lie that they do.
You see, Planned Parenthood and its supporters like to speak in general terms when they tweet and #StandWithPP. For example, on Mother’s Day, President of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards tweeted in generalities and claimed that supporting her organization is the same as loving your mom.
Planned Parenthood conveniently uses phrases like “care they need” or “vital health care.” When in fact, the organization offers very little care.
The truth is that Planned Parenthood’s services only provide for a tiny fraction of the total of the nation’s health care services. They perform less than 2% of the nation’s cancer screenings, 1% of the nation’s pap tests, and despite popular belief, absolutely zero mammograms.
But, Planned Parenthood must be good at something, right? Right. They are extremely successful in the abortion industry.
While they claim that this is very little of what they do, they actually provide over 30% of the nation’s abortions, which accounts for over 300,000 lives ended every year.
Yet, you don’t see the Kardashians or Cecile Richards tweeting those numbers. Do you?
Our hope is that more and more people will become educated on the facts and begin to see Planned Parenthood for what they truly are — a giant of the abortion industry.
