Live Action News —Police are investigating a heartbreaking incident in Upstate New York. A baby girl was found alive in the trash outside a home on Walnut Street in Elmira after a neighbor heard what sounded like a cat crying and went to investigate.
Neighbors told WENY News they saw a child’s feet sticking out of a garbage bag behind a home. The baby girl, who was covered in garbage, was rescued by the neighbor and cleaned up. The baby was taken to the hospital where she was found to be dehydrated but is in stable condition. Authorities believe the child may have been left outside for 12 hours.
Elmira Police said they have arrested 17-year-old Harriette M. Hoyt of Sayre, Pennsylvania, in connection with the crime, and have charged her with attempted murder.
This isn’t the first child to be found in the garbage in 2017. In June, the body of an infant was found in a garbage bag in Dolton, Illinois. Also in June in Massachusetts, the body of a newborn was found in a garbage bag, and two people were charged in the incident.
We are all are real, living human beings from the moment of fertilization, and you can see this in the video below:
When society begins to believe that babies aren’t human beings worthy of life while inside the womb, that belief often transfers to babies immediately after birth. Even some people who admit that a fetus is a living human believe that taking that child’s life by abortion is acceptable.
Why, then, are we so shocked when someone kills her own child as soon as the baby exits the womb?
Thankfully, this baby girl was found in time to be saved.
