Radio and digital ads to raise awareness for life-saving care available to abortion-vulnerable women
Did you know that abortion rates in California and Florida alone represent a quarter of all abortions in the United States? More than 190 abortions take place every day in Florida. Over 350 take place every day in California – that’s roughly four abortions every two minutes.
That’s why, on August 2, Save the Storks is launching the next phase of its mission-critical awareness campaign in Southern California and Central Florida.
The goal of this campaign is to drive more people to pregnancy centers in critical areas through radio and digital ads.
Critical Market: California
Currently, abortions in California represent 15.4 percent of all abortions in the United States. In Los Angeles alone, there are 21 Planned Parenthood clinics. For the campaign, Save the Storks is partnering with Options, A Womens’ Care Center to reach women with access to care.
Located 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, the center provides:
- Pregnancy testing
- STI/STD testing
- Adoption referrals
- Abortion pill information
- After abortion support
Critical Market: Florida
Abortions in Florida represent approximately 8.2 percent of all abortions in the United States. Save the Storks is partnering with A Woman’s Choice in Lakeland, Fla. The center is located five miles from an abortion clinic. They offer the following free services to their community:
- Pregnancy testing
- Pre-abortion counseling
- After abortion help
A Woman’s Choice is on track to receive a Stork Bus and is a top center functioning in a critical market location.
Save the Storks is also partnered with Choices Clinic in Brandon, Florida. With plans to go mobile, they see approximately 49 new clients each month. Choices Clinic is in an area with high abortion rates- approximately 7,000 each year. They serve their community with these free resources:
- Pregnancy tests
- Options education
- Community referrals
