He wasn’t looking for another gig, but when opportunity knocked, Dr. Carl Moeller answered and agreed to serve as Interim Chief Operating Officer with Save the Storks during a transitionary period. His experience and leadership will help to create some structure and process within our young organization.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Penn State, he moved on to secure a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Utah. Obviously, Carl brings to Storks a broad mix of science, theology, education and organizational leadership. This unique background, as well as his position on several boards including the Evangelical Christian Credit Union, Trinity International University and Salt Lake Theological Seminary, all provide a wealth of knowledge and insight that will contribute to strengthening and stretching Storks beyond our toddler years.
Having served in leadership at Biblica (The International Bible Society), Open Doors and Saddleback Church, Carl expresses great enthusiasm about the vision and future of Save the Storks. Hand picked by the board, he looks forward to many opportunities to make a difference in our daunting mission to revolutionize the meaning of pro-life.
Married to Kimberly for 30+ years, they have enjoyed raising four children and watching them launch into young adulthood. In tribute to his German background, Carl speaks and reads German proficiently. But having worked and served in more than 75 countries around the world, Carl could probably figure out a way, in any language, to encourage and support anyone interested in answering God’s individual call on their lives. Throughout his adult life, whether as pastor, student, advisor, leader or speaker, Carl has passionately pursued God and inspired others to do the same. We are blessed to benefit from his vast experience and big heart.
