Luke Vercollone

Director of Innovation

Luke grew up near Plymouth, Massachusetts as the second oldest child in a relatively large Catholic family of 11 children (Luke’s parents LOVE life!). Growing up in MA, he was forced into a passion for the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and love for sports. Luke excelled at soccer and competed with a reckless abandonment.

Luke pursued soccer through college where he walked on to Seton Hall University (Sports Management degree) and soon became a staple in the starting lineup. His success on the pitch earned him a scholarship, captain’s band, All Big East First-Team honors and a selection into the Major League Soccer (MLS). After playing 2 years in the MLS (including an MLS Cup Finals in 2005), Luke began his record-breaking career in the United Soccer League (USL) with the Charleston Battery. Luke’s 15-year pro soccer career also took him through Richmond (Kickers) and Colorado Springs (Switchbacks) and was eventually capped off with the crowning achievement of joining the Save The Storks all-star team!

Luke grew up in the Church yet had a strong reversion into the faith in college (through the grace of God and the instrument of mentorship through the Fellowship of Catholic University Students – FOCUS) where he chose to allow God to rule over his entire life.  Since that time, the fire for Jesus has continued to burn bright and hot!  In 2008 Luke married a FOCUS missionary, Andrea, and they live in CO with their 4 beautiful children. In 2017 the Holy Spirit called Luke to pursue evangelization and ministry at a deeper level and this clear, consistent and profound call transformed him into a saver of storks.

“What greater privilege could I have then to use the gifts God has given me to serve woman and children? I’m so grateful to help true heroes – storks (moms)!” – Luke
