Miley Cyrus is Vegan but Pro-Abortion

When it comes to compassion, some celebrities take the spotlight for their dedication to animal rights and veganism. Yet, there’s a striking irony when these same stars advocate for a cause that dismisses the value of human life—pro-abortion. For instance, former Disney pop star and actress Miley Cyrus is vegan but pro-abortion. Let’s look at a few prominent figures who champion animal welfare but support abortion rights.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is one of the most vocal advocates for veganism in Hollywood. She once urged her fans to “leave animals alone” and shared her horror at the mistreatment of dairy cows on an Indiana farm.

Yet, when it comes to the lives of preborn babies, Miley has shown less concern, supporting pro-abortion policies. She refuses to eat animals, yet she had no problem indulging in a cake decorated with the words “abortion is healthcare” in partnership with Planned Parenthood.

And Miley Cyrus isn’t the only celebrity with such blatantly contradictory views.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish, a young and hugely popular singer, is a vocal advocate for animal rights. She has even urged her fans to go vegan, passionately pleading, “Leave animals alone.” In 2018, she took to social media to expose the horrors of an Indiana dairy farm to her 26 million followers, expressing shock that anyone could witness such abuse and not care. But we can’t help but wonder—has she ever seen the truth about abortion? Perhaps her views would shift if she did.

Instead, Eilish is among the many artists who joined Planned Parenthood’s “Bans Off Our Bodies” campaign after the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Ariana Grande

Grande is a well-known vegan who has spoken about her love for animals and commitment to not contributing to their suffering. However, she has also been a vocal supporter of abortion rights.

Grande follows a strict vegan diet, has adopted numerous pets—including nine dogs and a pig—and even co-founded an animal sanctuary in Los Angeles called Orange Twins Rescue in 2020. However, despite her dedication to protecting animals, she donated $250,000 from her 2019 Atlanta concert proceeds to Planned Parenthood. With 377 million followers on Instagram, imagine the impact Grande might have if she gave the same support to women who choose life.

Natalie Portman

Inspired by fellow actor Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman adopted a vegan lifestyle in 2008 and has since passionately advocated for animal rights. She has often spoken out about the suffering of animals in the dairy industry, emphasizing her commitment to compassion. However, her vocal support for abortion rights seems to stand in stark contrast to her principles of empathy and care.

After the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Portman took to Instagram to express her strong views on abortion access, stating that she wouldn’t have been able to be a mother without it. She wrote:

“I would never have been able to have the education I had, the career I had, the emotional and spiritual and physical life I’ve enjoyed, or been able to mother the way I do if it were not for my ability to choose when and how I wanted to have children. Abortion rights allow a person to define the course of their own life and should not even be under the jurisdiction of the courts. I am devastated. I am disgusted. And I am ready for the fight.”

Yet, Portman has also been quoted speaking about her deep concern for the discomfort animals endure in the milk, egg, and dairy industries, saying:

“I’m honest about caring about animals. You know, eggs and milk products, there’s a lot of animal discomfort in that, too.”

Lizzo

Lizzo, a rising voice in the vegan community, brings the same passion to promoting plant-based living as she does to her music. However, her vocal support for abortion rights includes pledging $1 million to Planned Parenthood and abortion funds after the Roe v. Wade ruling.

Vegan but Pro-Abortion Celebrities

The irony is glaring—how can these celebrities express such deep empathy for animals while ignoring the value of human life? There is nothing wrong with being vegan or vegetarian or caring deeply for animals. However, using a large platform to promote ending a life is confusing, to say the least.

We hope that more celebrities and public figures will learn the truth about abortion and use their influence to promote life rather than death.
