The Marketing Manager works closely with the Director of Marketing and the rest of the marketing team to serve the department’s operational needs. The Marketing Manager will be involved in the everyday operational tasks required to run an effective team. directs creative output for a brand from the early concept stages through to production. Duties include developing ideas on how to advertise, working with department leads to create a shared vision, and leading a design team to complete projects. Other responsibilities include developing and overseeing the project management process for each campaign.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure, and technology that will support and improve the operations of STS’ marketing team.
  • Suggest, design, and implement processes that increase the internal and interdepartmental efficiencies of the marketing team.
  • Coordinate the launch and execution of new and existing projects within the marketing portfolio.
  • “Own” and manage our project management system on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to prescribed naming conventions, file management, and project management systems.
  • Maintain and provide real-time updates to projects progress.
  • Ensures that internal deadlines, timetables and approval procedures are adhered to for assigned project phases
  • Potential to assist in sending assets to external contractors and serve as point of contact for our printers and other vendors; ensure client deadlines and expectations are met.
  • In conjunction with marketing leadership, assess and forecast the marketing team’s capacity while establishing and prioritizing tasks.
  • Creates communication tools to elevate marketing reporting to the executive team.
  • Participate and contribute to the creative content process that communicates the ministry’s brand, mission, products, and services.
  • Contribute to the development of a marketing infrastructure that supports the execution of department strategies and tactics.
  • Develop and improve marketing processes to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand standards.
  • Assist in identifying changes in the marketing environment or competitive strategies that would impact the current marketing plan.
  • Provide periodic updates on the progress of marketing campaigns.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Track record of coaching a team through the implementation of efficiency-oriented activities and operational integrity.
  • Strong people management skills; able to build and foster teamwork and influence others without direct authority.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; communicates effectively with all levels of management and staff, board of directors, community and business leaders, and external groups and individuals.
  • Possess strong skills in data analysis, reporting and a keen eye to understand the team’s capacity for delivering our projects on time and scope expectations.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing social media and digital marketing goals and action plans and ensuring successful execution.
  • Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills to develop and maintain consultative relationships with internal and external entities.
  • Superior attention to detail and strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to think out of the box and drive change.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement corporate strategic initiatives and projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

Education or Formal Training:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, operations, project management, or equivalent experience.


Experience:

Minimum of three years in operations or a project management role, with
one year in leadership.
